Marjan Zeibari Obituary

Marjan Zeibari (née Ashegh) passed away on February 29, 2024. Born to Misak and Asanette Ashoughian on January 3, 1932, in Tehran, Iran, Marjan faced the hardship of becoming an orphan at a young age. Despite these early challenges, she emerged with resilience and grace, growing up alongside her seven siblings in Tehran.

With her brothers and sisters, she emigrated to Montreal, Canada, where she met her husband Kevork Zeibari. They married in 1968 and settled in the Philadelphia area to be closer to Kevork's family. Their union was soon blessed with the arrival of two sons, Toros and Andre, who were the center of her world. Her home in Upper Darby became a place where love, culture, and family values were deeply nurtured.

Marjan devoted her life to the well-being and success of her children, and her husband, who passed away in 1980. She found immense joy and pride in the accomplishments of her sons, from their early education at the Armenian Sisters Academy through to their graduations from High School and Drexel University, and celebrated their marriages to her cherished daughters-in-law, Michele (Toros) and Rosa (Andre). The birth of her grandchildren, Kevork, Matthew, Sarkis, Aleksander, and Mikael, brought her unparalleled joy.

Marjan also built lasting relationships with her colleagues and clients at Le Papillon, where she worked as a hairdresser for four decades. Her ability to form deep, personal connections with everyone around her made her a trusted friend and confidante to many.

Her faith in God was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and comfort. Marjan's constant prayers for her children, grandchildren, family and friends were a reflection of her selfless nature, always putting the needs and well-being of others before her own. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever inspire those who knew her.
