Michael Gardane passed away peacefully on September 13, 2024 at the age of 88. Beloved husband to his late wife, Barbara Gardane (nee Ferentinos) and beloved son of the late James and Bessie Gardane. Michael was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy and Mary.
Michael is survived by his daughter Donna Farra (Norman) and son Michael J. Gardane.
Mike was born in Philadelphia. He attended Bartram High School and then Temple University where he earned his degree. He also honorably served his country in the US Army.
Mike will be remembered for his unwavering kindness, generosity and positive outlook. His greatest joy was being with his family and dear friends. He was the proud grandfather of Brittany (Cristi), Lance, and Annalise and also great grandfather to Henry. Mike loved spending time at Delaware Park watching the horse races with his wife Barbara, and his son, Mike. He was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams, especially his Eagles. He cherished the memory of watching the Super Bowl with his son in 2017 and seeing them win. Mike also loved spending time at the beach and traveling with his daughter, Donna, son in law, Norm, and their children, Brittany, Lance and Annalise.
We would like to extend our most sincere appreciation to the wonderful people who helped care for Mike to include friends and the many people at Springfield Rehabilitation and Serenity Hospice. We are forever grateful to all of you.
