Paul Christo Dimitri, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born on May 29, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Spiro and Mary Dimitri. He attended Abraham Lincoln High School. Paul pursued his career in the restaurant industry, following in his father Spiro’s footsteps. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
A lifelong entrepreneur, with a servant’s heart, Paul was the proud owner and operator of Jamm’s Cafe in Philadelphia from 1988-2000. He then moved on and opened O’Fowley’s Tavern & Grille in Bristol Township from 2000-2024.
Paul had a passion for sailing, music and cooking. He was less than shy when it came to reaching for the guitar. He loved nothing more than to fill the room with his timeless melodies of The Beatles.
When Paul was not perfecting a recipe or filling the room with music, he could be found with a camera in hand, capturing memorable moments of his children, a role in which he took such immense pride.
After years of hard work, Paul spent his retirement doing what he loved most, cooking, eating and being a devoted presence in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his beloved children, Melissa Zavatsky (Michael), Michele Lorimer (Thomas), Jeffrey Dimitri, Amanda Schneider (Michael). The proud “Grandpop” of Brianna, Ashley, Taylor, Michael, Bella, Thomas, Olivia, Lillie, Cassidy, Chase, Emma. Loving brother of Peter Dimitri (Donna), Margaret Nowmos (Stephen), Philip Dimitri (Jeanette), Marion Merkle (the late Wayne). Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Spiro and Mary Dimitri. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
