Penny (Panayiota) nee Zarus Mattis

On May 5, 2020 at the beautiful age of 96.   Resident of Wayne, PA.  Predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, William.

      Loving mother to her adoring children Paul (Joanna) and Ellen Kline (Frank).  Grandmother to her cherished grandsons Ross (Amanda) and Drew (Julia) and her “babies” Great Grandchildren: William, Wren, Paul and Evan.

      Penny will be remembered for her profound and passionate love of her family.  Being with them, filled her with pride and joy.  Penny’s ever present smile lit up her beautiful face.  A friend to everyone whether you knew her for 50 years or 50 minutes.

      Penny worked tirelessly for her church.  Baking delicious Greek pastries, helping with mail communication and welcoming everyone to her church community.

      Her bright light, sweetness and optimism will be greatly missed.  Make someone smile today - she would have liked that very much!

      Burial is private with a future memorial celebration of Penny’s life planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Penny’s memory may be made to:  Ladies Philoptochos Society - Charity Committee, Veteran’s project.  Sent to:   St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N.
