Raymond H. Ewing

Raymond Harry Ewing, 84, of Secane, PA, sadly passed away on August 27, 2023. Ray was born on December 27, 1938 to the late Samuel and Marie (nee Snyder) in West Philadelphia, PA.

Ray attended St. Thomas More High School and it was during his high school years that he met the love of his life, Margie, with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.

Ray worked as a manager at Acme Markets for many years. He took great pride in his store and was well-respected by countless employees and customers that he met over the years. Ray was a talented artist and after his retirement, he enjoyed spending time drawing. Ray also enjoyed walking his beloved dog, Cujo, at the park and playing cards with the boys. Most importantly, Ray loved spending time with and providing for his family. He was the official videographer of any family event…big or small. Ray was a loyal and generous man. He was a caretaker who constantly helped people throughout his life. He will be greatly missed.

Ray is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (nee Devlin), two sons, Christopher (Michelle) and Mark (Kimberly), daughter, Nicole Furman (Andrew) and grandchildren Christopher, Brittany, Kaitlynn, Katherine, Samuel, Alison, Max, Naomi and Lainey, sister Marie Flite (John), brother Robert (Maria) and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Samuel (the late Kathleen), and sisters Theresa, Catherine, and Loretta.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Eugene’s Church, 110 S. Oak Ave, Primos, PA. Visitation will be held at 10am with mass at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors  https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org/
