Richard Edward Melikian

It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard E. Melikian, 72, of Collegeville, PA, on June 16, 2025. 

Rick was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 27, 1952 to Dorothy Koshoian of Wesleyville, PA, and Ashod Melikian of Lansdowne, PA. 

He graduated from Harriton High School, then went on to University of Miami where he earned his Bachelor's degree. He became a business and real estate owner. He was most well-known as the most recent long-standing owner of Burhans Glass. 

Rick was a member of St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church in Wynnewood, PA. He especially loved spending time with family and friends, music, playing pool, boating, and his cat, Bijou. He was a 'foodie,’ and a devoted Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers fan. Some other things that we will forever remember about Rick are his welcoming heart, generosity, silliness, and the kindness he always showed to everyone. 

Remaining to cherish and carry on Rick's memory are his wife, Terri McLaughlin; daughters, Tiffany Melikian of Ashland, OR, and Ashlee Melikian of Talent, OR, along with significant others James Kilgore and Daniel Koenigsberg respectively; step-daughters, Jennifer (and Justin) Wilhelm of Raleigh, NC, and Rebecca (and Joe) Lombardo of Perkasie, PA; 5 beloved grandchildren; aunt, Rose Solakian of Valley Village, CA; and many loving cousins and friends. 

Family and friends are invited to view on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m - 12 noon at St. Sahag & St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 630 Clothier Rd., Wynnewood, PA.19096.  His funeral service will begin promptly at 12 p.m.  Interment to follow in Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Rd. Drexel Hill, PA, 19026.  Immediately following the conclusion of the funeral. We welcome you to celebrate and honor Rick's life with us.
