Robert M. Pearson

Robert M. Pearson of Upper Darby, PA, passed away surrounded by loved ones on December 21, 2023 at the age of 80.

Robert (Bob) was born on December 6, 1943 in Darby, PA to Dorothy and Charles Pearson. Robert was preceded in death by his granddaughter Melissa and his brother Charles. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol and his two daughters Melissa Pearson, and Amanda Verdi (Nicholas). Robert is a cherished grandfather to Elizabeth, great-grandfather to Roxanna and an uncle to 10 nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Upper Darby High School (class of 1963), Robert worked many jobs including as a laborer and a landscaper. While he enjoyed working for Laborers’ Local 413 and loved his “Bob’s Landscaping” business. His true passion was his family. He treasured spending time with his wife and daughters while traveling across country on their yearly family vacations, camping in 26 different states throughout the years.

Throughout his life he had a tendency to help those in need by taking in less fortune families at Christmas. Not only did he have a love for the holidays, he was a diehard Phillies and Eagles fan. Even to the very end he made sure to listen to every Eagles game.

Bob will be remembered as a dedicated husband, father, poppy, great-grandfather, and a caring friend who truly enjoyed life through his 80 years. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and a life well-lived.

Family & friends are invited to the viewing at Vraim Funeral Home on Wednesday January 3rd from 6pm-8pm & Thursday January 4th from 10am-11am. A memorial service to follow promptly at 11am.
