Ruthann McAfee, 73, of West Grove, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025.
Born on October 5, 1951, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, Ruthann was the daughter of the late Stephen M. McFee and Dorothy McFee (née McGrath). A proud graduate of Upper Darby High School’s Class of 1969, she carried her strong work ethic and warm spirit into every chapter of her life.
Ruthann dedicated many years to public service and community engagement. She worked as a secretary for State Representative Nicholas Micozzie, where her professionalism and commitment left a lasting impression. Later, she served as an administrative assistant for ServePro. Beyond her professional roles, Ruthann gave generously of her time as the longtime volunteer librarian for the Little Free Library of Cochranville—a role that perfectly suited her love of books and community connection.
A true bibliophile at heart, Ruthann found joy in reading and sharing stories with others. Her passions extended to cooking delicious meals for loved ones, scrapbooking cherished memories, crafting thoughtful gifts, cross-stitching intricate designs, and decorating her home with festive flair during the holidays—especially when snow was in the forecast. Her favorite quote was “Let it snow,” a phrase that captured both her whimsical nature and love for seasonal beauty.
Ruthann’s warmth touched many lives. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Brenda McAfee-Jeffers (Mike) and Jennifer McAfee, son, Frank W. McAfee III (Sharon), sister, Dot Morano (Pete), brother, Stephen McFee (Barbara), five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; former husband Frank W. McAfee Jr., and longtime partner Frank Blietz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Gracie Solomone, nephew, Peter Morano, and her beloved dog Murphy.
A celebration of Ruthann’s life will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at Vraim Funeral Home, 66 S.
