Sonia Jehanian

Sonia Jehanian (Aznavorian) 2/28/34-8/21/19

Sonia was born and raised in New York City. She was the daughter of immigrants who proudly migrated to the United States through Ellis Island. Sonia's parents had two children, Charles Aznavorian her older brother (pre deceased her ) 
Sonia met her future husband Joseph Jehanian of Philadelphia at St. Gregory's The Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church in NYC at a church social.
Joseph however was not the  social dance type but went along with his cousins and friends.
He met Sonia that night and said "I'm going to marry that girl." They were married 6 months later and had 2 children.
Our mom, grandmom, great grandmom taught us what true love is all about as she gave her heart and soul to us. She continues to be our pillar of strength that guides us. She was dearly loved by her family.
We will carry her proudly in our hearts forever.
Sonia is survived by her Children Linda Gary and Gregory Jehanian.
Linda's husband George Gary Sr.  Their children,George Gary Jr. (wife Nikki) Kimberly Douglas ( Gary) husband Michael) & Joseph Gary (wife Shawna.) 

Gregory Jehanian Sr. and his wife Diane Jehanian ,their son Gregory Jehanian Jr.( wife Marlee) 
Sonia had 8 great grandchildren, Michael Douglas Jr., 22 yrs old, Justin Douglas, 18 yrs old, Ethan Douglas 14 yrs old.
Layla Gary 7 yrs old, Luke Gary 5 yrs old.Tanner Gary 3 yrs. old, Isaac Jehanian 3 yrs old and Olivia, 13 yrs old.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 29, in St. Gregory's Church, 8701 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19128, viewing 10-11 AM funeral at 11. Interment will be in Arlington cemetery of Drexel Hill, PA. In lieu of flower donations in her memory may be made to St. Gregory's Church.
