We regret to announce the unexpected passing of Spiro J. Kellis, a life-long resident of Philadelphia, PA on June 17th, 2024 at age 59. He was born on July 22nd, 1964, to John & Panagiota "Penny" (Mechikas) Kellis. Spiro is survived by his mother; his sister, Mary (Kellis) Asmas; his two daughters, Paula and Joanna "Joni" Kellis; as well as many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. He is predeceased by his father, John Kellis, including his grandparents; Maria Kellis, Spyridon Kellis, Evangelia Mechikas, and Lokim Mechikas.
He graduated from Washington High School in 1982. He was a hard working man who was devoted to his career in restaurant management and hospitality; owning and employed for numerous restaurants and bars where he will forever be cherished by the many customers he served.
In his spare time, Spiro enjoyed boat rides, beaches and fishing. He was filled with enthusiasm for life and great food with a table full of friends and family. Spiro will dearly be missed by his friends, family and all who knew him. May his memory be eternal.
We welcome friends and family to join us in honoring the life of Spiro. On Wednesday, June 26th, there will be a viewing set for 10 am to 11am, followed by a funeral service at 11am at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

Burial: Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Jenkintown, PA 19046
