With her family constantly by her side, Stavroula Spalas passed away May 27th, 2025, about 10 days after she celebrated her 92nd birthday with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her two cherished grandchildren, Timmy and Christopher (Christos). She was a godly, hard working women wether taking care of her family, working as a seamstress, or working alongside her husband, Nick, in the family pizza restaurant. She was also an avid gardener who loved to see plants and vegetables grow.
She was the most humble and selfless person because all she wanted to do was help and serve others. Helping and serving others is what gave her joy. She prayed for others constantly and often called friends and relatives by phone to see how they were doing.
Stavroula is preceded in death by her husband, Nick. She is survived by her beloved children, Koralia (Bob) and Pantelis and her devoted grandchildren, Timmy and Christopher, who were the love of her life.
Friends and family are welcome to attend her viewing from 10 to 11am Friday, 5-30-2025, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 229 Powell Ln, Upper Darby, Pa 19082. Her funeral service will take place at 11am in the church. Her interment will follow the funeral service in Arlington Cemetery.
