Stella (Russon) Pahides

Stella Pahides (née Russon), 90, of Churchville, PA passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on October 30, 2025.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1935, Stella was preceded in death by her former husband, father of their children, and close friend Gus Pahides as well as her long-term partner Gene Schiappa. Also preceding Stella is her beloved daughter Renée Pahides Zissios and her brother George Russon (Nancy).

Stella is survived by her devoted son Peter Pahides (Kelly), and her beloved daughters Helene Vellios and Andrea Cosmas (Chris) along with her twelve adoring grandchildren Dana (Evan), Olivia (Trevor), Dimitri (Christine), Jonathan (Sarah), Christen (Niko), Nico (Ashley), Aris, Alexa, Zara, Demi (Joey), Dena and Nicolette.

She is also survived by her fifteen cherished great-grandchildren Dean, Eliza, Mason, Jake, Stella, Theo, Jonah, Peter, Summer, Sophia, Eleni, Peter, Ava, Valencia, and Jack. 

She led a prayerful life enjoying various hobbies such as promoting Princess House, coloring, traveling, and above all spending time with her close-knit family and lifelong friends. 

Her big heart, one-of-a-kind personality, and beautiful legacy will live on forever. May she now rest in peace and may her memory be eternal. She will always remain in our hearts.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing on Friday November 7, 2025 from 10am - 11am at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 7921 Old York Rd, Elkins Park, PA 19027.  Her funeral service will begin promptly at 11am. Interment to follow her funeral service at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
