Stella Triantafellou

Stella Kamitses Triantafellou went to sleep on March 8th, 2020 at Deer Meadows Retirement Community in Philadelphia, PA.  She was preceded in death by her husband Christos and daughter Arete Rossi and is survived by her son Michael (Jackie) . Stella was born on January 21st, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA and was the last survivor among her sisters and brothers, Mary Kamitses, Bella Chronis, Margie Louros, Helen Savas, Clara Pappas, Madeline Helbrecht, James Kamitses and Peter Kamitses. 

She was the proud and loving grandmother of 9, great-grandmother of 21 and also had 1 great-great grandson. She is also survived by her very best friend Barbara Williams.

Stella lived a life  where her only  purpose was to love and take care of others. Whether it was family, friend or neighbor she always put their needs first, sacrificing when necessary, and always with kindness and a smile. There are so many stories to tell, they would fill volumes and you are welcome to leave yours below. We'd love to see them to honor her memory.

A viewing will take place at Annunciation /Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church 7921 Old York Road in Elkins Park, PA at 10 AM on Friday March 13th followed by a Church Service at 11 AM.  Interment immediately following at Lawnview Cemetery in Rockledge, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
