Virginia M. Livanos

Virginia Matheos Livanos, 91, of Philadelphia, PA., was taken by our Lord to Heaven peacefully in her sleep June 16, 2022.

She was born to the late Vasilios and Marcella Calagias, January 30, 1931 in Vrontado Chios, Greece.

She was married to the late Matheos George Livanos, and they lived together in Philadelphia for over 70 years. Virginia is survived by her two children: George Livanos and his wife Donna of Havertown, PA; Presvytera Caliope and her husband the Rev. Dr. Robert Archon of Pepperell, MA. She is also survived by four grandchildren Virgina, Nicole, Alexis, and Erini and her two great-grandchildren Eddie and Ellie. Virginia was predeceased by her loving husband in 1996.

Viewing ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Elkins Park, PA. The burial will take place at the Lawnview Cemetery. The family kindly requests that people make donations to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Elkins Park, PA.
