I too was a co-worker and friend of George. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was my right hand at work. He took much pride in his work and did it very well. George was loved and will be missed.

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of George. He was a coworker of mine, off and on for over 20 years. He was a good man, always willing to help me and others when he could. He was pleasant to be around and a good friend. He will be missed.

I had the honor of working with George for over 25 years. A friend with unmatched dedication to his job and a deep concern for coworkers.
Some will say "It's a shame he never got to enjoy the fruits of his labor." I say the fruit was his labor. I'll always remember watching him take a small step back when the work was done; the beginning of a song George would whistle as a critical deadline was met; and as another day's challenges over, the simple imperceptible nod of his head knowing the effort was real, the effort in and of itself a satisfying reward, and with the quiet knowledge that no one could do it better.
A tearful fair well good friend, and as a gentle reminder to all I send along the highest accolade one blue collar worker can send to another.
"George was a good guy... he was a really good guy."
